Daniel Padilla, Hinimok ang mga Pilipino na Maging 'Responsable' at 'Makatao'

No doubt, Kathniel is one of the most influential love teams in the Philippine showbiz industry. We mostly see Kathniel playing iconic roles on the television but now, they decided to use their powerful voice for a cause. Kathryn Bernardo and her beau Daniel Padilla used their voice to defend against the forceful closure of their home network, ABS-CBN.

For the first time in 25 years, the ABS-CBN network has stopped airing following an immediate cease-and-desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). In the process, more than 11,000 employees lost their jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic. Daniel Padilla urged the public to be more sensitive during times like this.

In a recent video, the 25-year-old actor asked his fellowmen to open their eyes and hearts. According to Daniel, as a Filipino, it is our duty to be vocal when suppressed and to take responsibility during the crisis:

"Bilang Pilipino, tungkulin natin na maging mapagmatyag. Karapatan natin ang magsalita. Pero kasama ng karapatan na ‘yan ang responsibilidad. Responsibilidad na siguraduhin na ang sinasabi natin ay tama. At higit sa lahat makatao at para sa tao," says the Kapamilya Teen King.

In addition to this, Daniel also asked the masses to be more sensitive to others' situations. Due to the ABS-CBN shutdown, the future of the 11,000 employees is now uncertain.

“Higit sa lahat, sa mga kapwa ko Pilipino, ‘wag ho nating talikuran ang pagiging makatao. Buksan ho natin ang mga puso natin para sa pinagdadaanan ng iba. Buksan natin ang mga mata natin para sa katotohanan. Mas mainam pa ang maging bulag kaysa sa nagbubulag-bulagan."
