"Napaka-ingrata naman"- Kristine Hermosa, Sang-Ayon nga ba sa ABS-CBN Shutdown?

On May 6, one of the biggest broadcast networks in the Philipines, ABS-CBN, has gone off-air for the first time in 25 years. The ABS-CBN shutdown came immediately following the cease-and-desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission. Because of this sudden shutdown, many employees and talents of the Kapamilya network protested on social media.

Many celebrities, including Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, and many more used social media to express their dismay over the NTC's decision. ABS-CBN has more than 11,000 employees, whose future and livelihood became uncertain due to the network's shutdown.

However, it seems like not all ABS-CBN employees feel the same regarding this incident. Kristine Hermosa, one of the former actresses of the Kapamilya network, made rounds online regarding her stance on the issue. Earlier this week, Kristine shared a cryptic quote on her official Instagram account:

"God's plan will always be greater and more beautiful than all your disappointments. May we ever choose the wider right instead of the easier wrong," says the former actress. While she didn't mention anything or anyone on her post, many people speculated that this is about ABS-CBN.

Some netizens criticized the former actress for allegedly agreeing to the shutdown of her home network. As you may well know, Kristine used to be one of the most sought-after actresses in the Kapamilya network. Now that she's no longer working in ABS-CBN, critics accused her of siding against the network.

"After how many years napakinabangan ang ABS-CBN, ganito ipopost niya. Napakaingrata naman. At ipokrita kung idedeny nya na hindi para sa TV network itong post na ito. Kunsabagay matagal na pala siyang wala sa ABS-CBN kaya basura na para sa kanya ang naging bread and butter niya ng ilang dekada," wrote one netizen on Instagram.

On the other hand, as of now, Kristine is yet to answer all of these comments.
