"Problema nyo na yan"- Bastos na Kapitan, Nag-Viral Matapos Hindi Mamigay ng Quarantine Pass

On March 15, President Rodrigo Duterte implemented a nationwide enhanced community quarantine. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, most establishments were closed and people are advised to stay in their homes. The enhanced community quarantine will last until April 15, or will be extended as deemed fit by the government.

As part of the enhanced community quarantine protocol, only one member of the household is allowed to go outside. The chosen member cannot be pregnant, senior citizen, or minors. This reduces the number of people on the street, thus also limiting the virus' chance of spreading to more people.

Local government units are handing out quarantine ID that will serve as gate pass whenever you're in public. However, it seems like not all barangays are committed to their jobs in helping their constituents. While many barangay chairmen and staff are laying their lives on the line, there are some who doesn't perform their duties well.

Among them is this barangay chairman, who went viral on social media for her attitude. In a video, we can see a man asking for quarantine pass from the barangay chairman, who was sitting with his staff. The man was asking politely, but the barangay staff responded with a sarcastic tone.

"Ay wala na eh! Ano ang gagawin ko? Wala na eh anong gagawin ko? Hindi ko alam yan problema mo na yan."

As expected, this video earned the wrath of netizens online. Many people called for the apprehension of the barangay chairman and his staff for failing to do their duties. Here's what one netizen has to say:

"Yung mga ganyang klaseng politiko, walang pakialam sa mga kababayan nila! Tamang asal ba yan? Sana naman makita ito ng mayor o ni presidente para mapatalsik yang bastos na barangay chairman na yan. Kawawa ang mga nasasakupan mo."
