Good News! Iza Calzado, Maayos na ang Lagay Matapos Mag-Negative na sa COVID-19

As of March 31, there have been more than 1,500 cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. Among them is celebrity Iza Calzado, who tested positive for the highly-communicable disease on March  27. Thousands of fans prayed for the actress' fan recovery since her illness is made much more complicated by her pre-existing pneumonia condition.

Earlier this week, a video circulating on social media showed the actress in a weakened condition. But on the brighter side, the award-winning actress is no longer intubated. According to her manager, Noel Ferrer, Iza Calzado is finally showing signs of a quick recovery.

On Instagram, Noel also relayed positive news for his followers. According to Iza' manager, the actress is finally free from coronavirus. Three days after testing positive on March 27, Iza Calzado's second test came back negative.

"The good news is—Iza’s retest results came back and she is now negative for CoVid. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, love and support, especially the doctors, nurses and all the health workers who continuously risk their lives to serve us all at this time."

On the other hand, many people expressed their well wishes for the actress' fast recovery. Just because she already tested negative of coronavirus doesn't mean that Iza will be going home soon. In fact, she will still be under monitoring because of her pneumonia.

Indeed, this uplifting news is a ray of sunshine amidst all of the negativity that surrounds us. But let's not rejoice too soon, because many of our fellow Filipinos are still battling with coronavirus. For now, all we can do is pray for their safety and fast recovery.
