Almost everyone in the Philippines knows the iconic actress Marian Rivera. The 34-year-old mestiza star is one of the most talented and well-loved celebrities in the showbiz industry. Throughout her career in showbiz, Marian created a lasting legacy that eventually earned her a spot in the celebrity hall of fame.

But before being the most popular actress in the Philippines, Marian came from humble beginnings. She was born in 1984 and was raised in Bacoor, Cavite by her grandmother. At a young age, Marian already showed promise in the modeling industry, until her talent was noticed.

Her first-ever teleserye was "Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako," wherein she worked with Oyo Boy Sotto. From then on, Marian's career took off. In 2007, she had her biggest break when she was chosen to play the lead role in the Mexican telenovela remake "Marimar."

This was the start of her flourishing career. Ever since "Marimar," Marian has starred in many iconic roles that followed, including "Darna," "Amaya," "Dyesebel," "Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang," and "Endless Love." That being said, it's not surprising why she's hailed as the "Kapuso Primetime Queen."

Marian is not only a talented actress; she's also known as a versatile and lively performer on the stage. Throughout the years, she has also released hit songs, such as "Sabay sabay tayo" and "Chiquita."

Nowadays, Marian is not as much active in showbiz like she used to be. Instead, she devotes her time to her husband, Dingdong Dantes, and their two kids, Zia and Ziggy. Yet until now, many stars still look up to Marian Rivera, and her contributions in the Philippine showbiz industry.
