Youtuber Emman Nimedez, May Pinagdadaanang Malubhang Karamdaman

Emman Nimedez is one of the most popular vloggers in the Philippines. Most fans are used to watching Nimedez's fun-filled vlogs, but on May 17, his vlog turned into a heartbreaking turn. Fans were shocked when Nimedez revealed the reason why he's always hospitalized. At the age of 27, Emma Nimedez revealed that he is fighting against a life-threatening illness, leukemia.

According to Nimedez, for the past few weeks, he has been suffering from chronic colds. He was hospitalized a few times and doctors ran tests to determine his illness. At first, they thought it was COVID-19, but doctors made a diagnosis that nobody expected.

Nimedez was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, wherein his bone marrow over-produces an abnormal amount of white blood cells.

This underlying condition went unchecked for quite some time, only attacking when you're at your most vulnerable moment.

"Hayaan niyo lang akong isama kayo dito sa laban na ito. Para maipakita na rin sa inyo na lahat ng ibabato sa ating hamon, lahat ng ibabato sa ating pagsubok, kakayanin, basta diretso lang ang tingin natin sa buhay at tsaka positibo tayo," says Nimedez in his emotional video on Youtube.

In spite of this challenge, the 27-year-old vlogger remained positive. His friends, family, and fans are also supporting him throughout this whole ordeal. Nimedez also promised his fans that he will continue on what he had started: inspiring people from day 1.

As a ray on sunshine in his heartbreaking announcement, Nimedez also shared a brief unboxing moment of his golden plaque from Youtube, as a reward for reaching 1 million subscribers. As of writing, his video has already reached more than 3.3 million views on Youtube.
