"Tinarantado ninyo ang mga Pilipino!"- Coco Martin, Nagpahayag ng Dismaya sa NTC

Due to the cease and desist order of NTC against ABS-CBN, thousands of employees will also be left jobless. ABS-CBN is one of the giant networks in the Philippines and employs thousands of workers, including staff crew, talents, and more. According to online sources, more than 11,000 employees rely on the network.

One of ABS-CBN's highest-paid actor, Coco Martin, expressed his disappointment over NTC's decision to shut down the Kapamilya network. According to Coco, his life and career have become uncertain not only because of the ABS-CBN shutdown but also because of the COVID-19 outbreak which is grappling the entire world.

"Tutal wala naman kasiguraduhan kung buhay pa ako pagkatapos ng pandemic na ito. Tama lang na masabi ko ang mga saloobin ko. Sa mga taong pilit nagsulong sa pagpapasara sa ABS-CBN, sana ay panatag na panatag na ang kalooban niyo. NTC sana nagdala ito ng lubos na kaligayahan!"

Furthermore, the "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" also directly addressed the NTC and Solicitor General Joe Calida. Coco did not mince his words when he addressed them, claiming that they have no conscience for allowing this to happen.

"Wala kayong mga konsensiya, naatim niyong pagkaitan ng hanapbuhay at pabayaang magutom ang ilang libong mga pamilya! Ito ba ang serbisyo niyo sa bayan? Ang dapat sa inyo usapang sanggano at walang-hiyaan! Tinarantado ninyo ang mga Pilipino!"

The cease-and-desist order was served during the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, which also poses a major problem for thousands of workers under the Kapamilya network. Due to the ECQ, the laid-off employees will have no means of looking for other jobs.
