This farmer only wanted to build a drainage pipe for his farm, but little did he know that he will uncover something far more precious! James Bristle works as a farmer in Chelsea, Michigan. One day, he wanted to build a drain pipe under his land, so with the help of a friend, they started to dig away.

While using a backhoe, Bristle dug until they finally reached 8 feet under the ground. However, their digging was cut short when Bristle and his friend encountered something hard. At first, they thought that they only dug up buried metal or a big chunk of lumber. However, what they saw shocked them!

When they unearthed the mystery object, Bristle and his friend were shocked to see that it was a huge bone! The one was massive in size, reaching up to 3 feet in length. Amazed with this discovery, the farmer and his friend continued on digging to find out if there's more.

Soon enough, they found another massive bone, which they thought must have belonged to a dinosaur. This time, Bristle decided to call on the help of experts. Paleontologists from the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology immediately traveled to witness Bristle's discovery.

Professor Daniel Fisher, along with his 15 students, immediately went to the site to start digging. Much to their surprise, they dug up another massive bone, but this time, it's a set of tusks! No doubt, the remains that they unearthed belonged to mammoths, an extinct species that once roamed the Earth.

What amazed the experts is that the mammoth skeletons were almost complete. The mammoth's skull, tusk, and bones are still impacted, which is amazing considering the fact that it has been dated back as far as 15,000 years ago. In the end, Fisher decided to donate the skeleton to a museum, so other people can also witness its wonders.
