Some people with a medical background are stepping up to perform their duties and help other people. Among them is former singer Carol Banawa, who is now fighting against COVID-19 as a resident nurse in the United States.

Some netizens also called the attention of other celebrities who have a medical background. Celebs like Maricar Reyes and even Yasmien Kurdi were dragged in the issue. One netizen, in particular, called out Yasmien Kurdi, for allegedly not putting her nursing skills to good use.

On Twitter, the netizen called out Yasmien Kurdi to help others, but Yasmien did not let this pass. The Kapuso actress corrected the netizen's assumptions. While it was true that Yasmien took nursing, she was not able to finish this course and ended up completing political science instead.

The actress wrote on Twitter: "Hi. Di ko natapos ang nursing, may 1 year pa ako sa nursing. Political science yung tinapos ko. Keep safe!"

Yasmien took up Political Science at Arellano University. For four years, the actress had to juggle her hectic schedule just so she can make time for her studies. It wasn't easy, especially because she has numerous projects lined up in the Kapuso network.

But in the end, the "Starstruck" alumna defied the odds. Yasmien is finally reaping the fruits of her labors after graduating from college! After years of hard work and perspiration, Yasmien finally acquired her Bachelor's degree with flying colors last March.

And even more delightful is the news that she was Magna Cum Laude.
