Kristine Hermosa, Ipinagtanggol si Pres. Duterte Gamit ang Simpleng Post na Ito

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, as the number of casualties surge, tensions also rise in the government. Many people are not contented with the Philippine government's alleged 'lacking' response towards the coronavirus outbreak. Some of those people even expressed their disappointment with President Rodrigo Duterte, for allegedly mishandling this dire situation.

Many celebrities took to social media to protest against the government's policies. Among those who vocally criticized the government were Liza Soberano, Maris Racal, Angel Locsin, Karen Davila, Barbie Imperial, Angelica Panganiban, and many more who expressed their opinions on Twitter.

However, there are still a few celebrities who just chose to support the president and the government during this time. Among them is Kristine Hermosa, who recently shared an insightful advice on Instagram. Earlier this week, the Kapamilya actress shared a quote on her account that reads:

"Actions prove who is someone is, words just prove who they want to be." Some people claimed that this quote might be dedicated to Kristine's brother in law, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, who was recently summoned by the National Bureau of Investigation for allegedly disobeying the Bayanihan Act.

Yet even though Kristine did not mention anyone in her post, some fans jumped into conclusion and insinuated that the actress must have been referring to President Rodrigo Duterte too. In turn, many people praised Kristine for encouraging unity in times of crisis.

On the other hand, as of April 8, more than 3,500 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the Philippines. To further contain the spread of the virus, President Duterte ordered the lockdown to be extended until April 30.
