Former PBB Housemate Nina Jose at Mayor Quiambao, Positibo sa COVID-19

As of April 1, there have been more than 2,500 cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. In spite of the strict community quarantine, the figures are expected to rise, according to medical experts. At this point, the virus doesn't choose its victims, and even the rich and the powerful are not safe from this highly-communicable disease.

Earlier this week, former actress Nina Jose and her politician husband, Mayor Cezar Quiambao, revealed that they both tested positive for coronavirus. In a statement released on social media, the Bayambang, Pangasinan mayor said that they are already in isolation.

Since March 16, the couple was already showing signs of COVID-19. According to Mayor Quiambao, he and his wife were already feeling unwell, so they immediately requested to be tested for COVID-19 right away.

But even before they got the results, they both made sure to isolate themselves from others.

"During our 14-day quarantine, we confirmed that we were both positive so we received proper treatment from the doctors who believe that we have now recovered. Please do not worry because we are both doing fine," wrote Mayor Quiambao on Facebook.

To make sure that they will not be able to spread the virus to anyone, Mayor Quiambao and Nina Jose also willingly agreed to undergo another two weeks of quarantine. On Facebook, former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Nina Jose also confirmed this news, but maintained that they are hopeful.

"Yes, we are positive for corona virus but because God is more powerful than this, we are doing fine and we are doing great! GOD is good all the time. Mama Mary loves us."
