Vice Ganda, Nanawagan sa mga Fans na Wag Maki-Selfie Dahil sa COVID-19

Philippines is already experiencing a surge in coronavirus cases. Due to the rising threat of coronavirus, or COVID-19, many people in the Philippines are already taking precautionary measures. In order to prevent the further spread of the virus, the government has enforced an enhanced community quarantine on Metro Manila lasting until April 15.

Even celebrities and well-known personalities are already calling out the attention of the public. During these times, everyone is looking out for ways to protect themselves and others as well. Among them is comedian Vice Ganda, who took to social media to remind his fans.

On Twitter, the "It's Showtime" host asked his fans to be mindful of their actions and their surroundings during the COVID-19 outbreak. According to Vice, we must always practice social distancing and avoid close physical contacts as much as possible to prevent contracting the disease.

"Social distancing- wag muna tayo magdikit dikit please. Wala munang yakapan, besohan at magpiktyuran. Pasensya na. Paraan yan para makaiwas tayo pare-pareho sa COVID-19," this is Vice's public advisory on his official Twitter account amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to this, Vice also encouraged his fans on Twitter to use social media to stay informed. Instead of just using Tiktok, Vice claimed that we should prioritize researching for new information on how we can protect ourselves against the virus.

"Siguraduhing alamin ang tamang paggamit ng mask. Maraming nakamask pero maling-mali ang paggamit. Never touch the surface of the face kapag tinatanggal ito. Yung tali lang sa gilid ang dapat hawakan. Kung may data ka naman o may wifi please google bago mag Tiktok."
