Single Mother, Mag-Isang Itinaguyod ang Pag-Aaral ng Anak na May Autism

It's rough raising a child, but what's tougher is raising a kid with mental disability. Bringing up a child with autism can be challenging for parents. It's critical that parents of a child with autism have a good support system. They need all the help and support they can get in order to cope up with this condition.

Earlier this week, noontime show "Eat Bulaga" invited parents of children with autism in their program. During the segment "Bawal Judgmental," the parents revealed the hardships they encountered in raising their children.

Among them is single mother Donna. She raises her daughter alone, which is really challenging and demanding at times. In spite of this, Donna persevered as a fitness coach just to provide a good life for her daughter, Desly. Indeed, she proved that a mother's love will defy all odds.

Even though it was tough, Donna managed to raise her daughter on her own. Through her mother's dedication and hard work, Desly graduated in high school. However, she doesn't want to pursue college because she prefers staying at home.

"Ang lagi ko na lang iniisip kasi is blessing siya eh. Sa naging buhay ko, siya lang lagi talaga 'yung nagre-remind sa akin na maging malakas lagi," Donna says during the interview, which also made the hosts emotional.

Donna also revealed that her daughter adores "Eat Bulaga" host Joey de Leon. Apparently, in the past, Desly has already become a guest in the defunct show "Mel and Joey." After hearing this, Joey went on and hugged his big fan.
