Kristine Dera na DJ for 10 Years, Bakit nga ba Tinalikuran ang Radyo?

Earlier this week, game show 'Wowowin' called for talented hosts to join their segment 'Wheel of Fortune.' Hundreds tried their luck to get into the show, but only a few lucky ones were chosen. Among them is Colleen, or more popularly known as 'Kristine Dera,' who is a famous DJ and also events host.

Kristine Dera is one of the most popular DJ's in FM radio. For 10 years, she worked as a DJ in FM Love Radio and quickly became one of the most well-loved DJs in the show. However, way back in 2018, Kristine had to choose between her career and her family.

During her interview with Willie Revillame, the vivacious host suddenly turned emotional when she talked about her former job. According to Colleen, during her 10 years as a DJ, she truly loved her work. However, she loves her kids more, and this is what prompted her to leave.

"Siguro may mga bagay lang na siyempre kailangan ko mag-desisyon, lalo na para sa family. Dumating ako sa point na parang mas gusto ko yung time ko sa anak ko, kasi sa FM station eight hours kami sa station, so dumating ako sa punto na hindi ko nakikita yung milestone ng anak ko."

Although the job pays well, Colleen noticed that she's missing out on the important milestones in her kids' life. As a mother, she made the tough choice of choosing her kids over her work. And while she does not regret her decision, she still misses her old profession.

"Mahal ko ang trabaho ko. Mahal ko si Kristine Dera but I need to let her go kasi Kristine Dera is not my property," shared Colleen during the interview. She also claimed that her job was priceless, and she parted in good terms with her company.
