Foreigner, Hinangaan Matapos Kusang Loob na Magpulot ng Basura sa Tabing-Dagat

Thousands of foreigners visit the Philippines every year. Our country has a lot of breathtaking tourist spots that attract foreigners from all over the world. Whenever they visit the Philippines, foreign travelers take photos and enjoy the sights. However, this foreign national decided to do something selfless in our country.

A foreigner from Finland became the talk of the town on social media after he was seen picking up trash at sea in Dipolog. One day after it went viral, some Filipinos also decided to follow the footsteps of the foreigner and did the same. That being said, it's no surprise that it has garnered praise from netizens!

According to a CNN Philippines report, the stranger was identified as Simo Aaltonen. Due to this concern for the environment, many Filipinos expressed their admiration for the foreigner a day after it went viral on social media.

In some of the photos shared by CNN, the Finland national is seen collecting and picking up garbage from the sea. Some Filipinos also find it helpful. No wonder it has garnered praise from the Filipino netizens.

On the other hand, many netizens expressed their admiration to the foreigner. Indeed, it's not every day that we get to see such altruistic acts! This just means that whether or not you're a resident in a country, you can still make the world a better place by taking care of your environment.
