Talentadong Pinoy Welder, Gumagawa ng Customized Vehicles Para sa mga PWD

Driving is convenient, however, the sad fact remains that it is not for everyone. Most cars are not accessible to people with disabilities. But this man from Arayat, Pampanga, is crafting ground-breaking inventions to change this. Rogelio Baldo, a talented welder, creates customized vehicles allowing persons with disabilities to drive.

In the past, Rogelio earned a living as an overseas Filipino worker in Japan. He's a welder and fabricator, working in a shipyard to build marine vessels. When he got back to the Philippines, Rogelio used his savings to open his own shop.

His fascination with tinkering with vehicles started when he was a child. According to Rogelio, at a young age, he's already curious and naturally drawn to vehicles and motorcycles.

"Noong bata pa ako, talagang mahilig na ako sa mga kakaibang laruan, hanggang sa nagkaroon ako ng isang motor, ginawa ko na ineksperimentuhan ko. Marami naman ang nakakakita at nagkakagusto sa ginawa ko," claimed Rogelio during an exclusive interview with All About Wheels Manila.

Soon enough, Rogelio tried experimenting with more vehicles. He also tried making customized sidecars, motorcycle accessories, and many more. He also crafted personalized and accessible vehicles for drivers with disabilities. His most-cherished creation yet is his very own homemade T-Rex, which never fails to amaze people on the road.

Although he made it sound easy, taking apart a machine and building it all over again is definitely not an overnight project. Rogelio spent years of training and experimenting in order to fully deliver the needs of his customers when it comes to their vehicles. Indeed, Rogelio's extraordinary skills are truly a great example of "Pinoy Pride."
