Mang Inasal Branch, Nakatanggap ng Papuri sa Pag-Hire ng mga Senior Citizens

Working in a fast-food chain is exhausting challenging. Due to the rush of the customers, young and strong workers are often hired as staff. In this industry, it's easy to see why senior citizens have no place since most hiring staff prefer someone younger to keep up with the work.

Because of this, senior citizen applicants often have difficulty in getting a job in fast-food chains. But this situation is slowly changing now! Today, more and more fast-food chains are opening their doors to older staff. Among those who are following suit is Mang Inasal.

Recently, a netizen praised Mang Inasal for hiring elderly staff. On Facebook, Gremma Avellano posted a photo of Tatay Amando, who appeared to be in his early 50s. In spite of his age, Tatay Arando was given the opportunity to work as a regular fast-food crew in Mang Inasal.

It's not every day that we get to see this. Gremma took a photo of the industrious staff and shared it on Facebook, also praising the Mang Inasal branch at SM Center for hiring elderly workers.

“Kudos sa may ari ng Mang Inasal Sm Center.. Si tatay Armando isang service crew.. First time ko makakita sa fastfood chain ng ganito.. #WalangAgeLimit #WalangEducationalBackground #WalangDiskriminasyon."

Last month, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno encouraged fast-food chains to hire the elderly and people with disabilities. Since then, there have been more and more fast-food chains offering opportunities for older people and people with disabilities.

"Marami diyan gusto magtrabaho hindi para kumita pero para makapaglibang, meron ba silang magawa na makadadagdag sa productivity level nila. Mayroon naman diyan na kaya pa nila, gusto pa nila kumita, o bigyan natin ng pagkakataon," said Mayor Isko Moreno.
