Vice Ganda, Pinaringgan si Ethel Booba Dahil sa 'Kaliwaang' Talent Fee Nito

Earlier this week, comedienne Ethel Booba became a trending topic online for her jaw-dropping performance in "Tawag ng Tanghalan: Celebrity Edition." She was hailed as the daily champion for her performance of The Beatles' "Help." But before that, did you know that Ethel Booba hesitated to join the show?

In an interview, the 42-year-old comedienne revealed that she was offered to join the show. However, before joining, Ethel asked if her prize and talent fee will be paid separately. As you may well remember, Ethel revealed on Twitter that several shows still hasn't paid her talent fee.

Among those shows she mentioned were "Minute to Win it" and "Gandang Gabi Vice." Right after she aired out her sentiments, the mentioned shows immediately contacted her and paid their delayed balance. Vice Ganda, the host of GGV, poked fun at Ethel during "It's Showtime."

"Abangan niyo si Ethel Booba next week. Dapat ngayon… Pero nag-back out kasi gusto niya kaliwaan ang bayad…Sabi sa kinsenas at katapusan pa ang bayaran. Sabi niya, 'Ay akala ko kaliwaan,'" said Vice during the "It's Showtime" episode that aired on October 11.

"Eh may mga shows pang hindi nakakabayad sa kanya. Nandito siya, nakikipag-usap pa rin. Sabi ni Ethel, 'Gusto ko nang sumalang pero cash 'to ha?'" Vice Ganda's statement ellicited laughter from his co-hosts and the madlang pipol.

On the other hand, many people can't wait to watch Ethel Booba's most-anticipated performance on the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" stage again. Even 'Punong Hurado' Dulce was deeply impressed by Ethel's golden voice! She even advised Ethel to take on her singing career seriously.
