Sharon Cuneta, Nakaranas ng Discrimination sa isang Sosyaling Store sa Hong Kong

As the old saying goes, do not judge a book based on its cover. This saying is especially true in customer service, where a customer's appearance might be deceiving. "Megastar" Sharon Cuneta admitted to experiencing this first-hand. Apparently, the "Megastar" experienced discrimination while shopping in a high-end boutique in Hong Kong.

During her interview at "Tonight With Boy Abunda," Sharon revealed the story that still annoys her to this day. In one of her Hong Kong vacation, the "Megastar" visited the Hong Kong branch of "Cartier," a high-end store for French watches and jewelry.

At the time, Sharon was only wearing a simple shirt and jeans. Apparently, because of her simple appearance, the sales representative displayed rude behavior towards her. But Sharon did not let the staff get away with his discrimination:

"My outfit was very simple, shirt lang and jeans. I said, ‘Excuse me. I’m not finished yet!’ I was so angry, there was another sales rep who was very nice, and I ended up buying things I didn’t really need because I was so angry. Ako, galit ako 'pag Pilipino, inaapi."

Sharon is not the only celebrity who has experienced a similar situation. Recently, "Asia's Songbird" Regine Velasquez also recalled the story of being snubbed in a Louis Vuitton shop in New York. As expected, Regine's bad experience in Louis Vuitton went viral on social media.

According to Regine, she felt humiliated and embarrased because of her experience. A few days after her story circulated online, the French fashion brand sent flowers to Regine in order to make amends.
