'Seryosohin mo, nanghihinayang ako'- Ethel Booba, Pinayuhan ni 'Punong Hurado' Dulce

Ethel Booba is widely-known for her hilarious antics and witty tweets. But did you know that this well-loved comedienne has a hidden talent? Ethel is not only blessed with the power to make people laugh, she's also blessed with a golden voice! And recently, she shared her talent with the world.

As you may well know, "It's Showtime" started a new segment, "Tawag ng Tanghalan: Celebrity Edition" in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Among those who were invited to join the first batch of contestants is Ethel Booba, who accepted the challenge.

Ethel competed against four other stars, Youtube star Songyupsal, singer Marlo Mortel, and actor Alex Castro. For her number, Ethel performed the John Farnham version of 'The Beatles' hit "Help." As soon as she took on the stage, everyone's jaw dropped!

Even the judges couldn't help but admire Ethel's enchanting voice. The 'Punong Hurado,' Dulce, was deeply impressed with Ethel's talent, which she has also witnessed a decade ago. It turns out that Dulce was also one of the judges in "Sing! Galing," wherein Ethel also competed.

"God’s gift to you is singing, the gift of voice. Alam ko na hindi mo maiwasang mag-comedy, kasi natural kang comedian talaga. Pero, ang prayer ko, bumalik ka doon sa serious singing mo," quipped Dulce.

Moreover, the 'Punong Hurado' also encouraged Ethel to take on singing as a serious career:

"Gusto ko talagang seryosohin mo ‘yung pagkanta mo, Kasi ako, nanghihinayang ako… Mas bigyan mo pa ng time, kasi ang galing-galing mo."

As expected, Ethel won over the hearts of the judges and the madlang pipol. After joking about her prize, the comedienne was hailed as the daily winner and is set to compete with more contenders. Check out her winning performance below:
