Caught On Cam: ACTS Party-List Representative Bertiz III Went Viral After Skipping Airport Screening Procedures, Belittles Security Personnel

ACTS Party List Representative Aniceto “John” Bertiz III went viral for another time again. Apart from the speech he did in an oath-taking the event for newly licensed engineers late September which draw negative feedbacks to netizens by joking to whoever does not know Bong Go will not get his license, he is now viral for breaching an airport protocol in Ninoy Aquino International Airport just this Sunday morning.

As a matter of fact, he was just placed to deliver a speech in the oath-taking when SAP Bong Go was not able to attend the said ceremony.

Security Breach

A video circulating on Facebook taken at the departure area of NAIA where screening officers are bound to command just landed passengers to remove footwears in accordance with the Security Condition Level 2 Alert in NAIA. First seconds shows Imee Marcos who followed the protocol and can be seen removing her shoes as part of the security ordinances. Seconds later, Bertiz came in and seen ignoring the security officer and in a matter of seconds, seen shoving his ID right in the face of the officer, looking arrogant and boasting. He even harassed the officer for forcefully getting the latter’s ID and walk away.

Arrogant Lawmaker

Bertiz did not stop from there but called out MIAA General Manager Eddie Monreal requesting to terminate the poor screening officer.

Netizen’s Reactions

Netizens expressed disappointment and dismay on Bertiz’ action, saying that the country does not deserve such an arrogant leader. Feeling as if above the law, the party-list representative should be given a sanction or more likely remove in office. Many claims that he is supposedly a role model to Filipinos in order for other to straighten out themselves and be disciplined. But then, in this incident, he was the one causing the troubles.
