Amid the coronavirus outbreak that has taken all over the globe, more and more people are in need of medical equipment. However, the surge in COVID-19 cases has led to panic and anxiety, which led to the hoarding of necessary supplies such as alcohol, hand sanitizers, and face mask. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a face mask as a must-have for everyone.

Because of the high demand, the price of these sanitary equipment has also risen. This means that people who have no budget also have no means to protect themselves from coronavirus. This is the bitter reality that many unfortunate families are currently facing.

Earlier this week, an eye-opening photo made rounds on social media. Many netizens were mobed at the tough situation of this father and daughter who were caught on camera while roaming the streets. The photo was shared by a concerned citizen named Cee Clark on Facebook.

In the said photo, the father and his young daughter can be seen roaming the streets. In spite of the community quarantine, the father is still trying to make a living to feed his family.

"This picture breaks my heart into pieces. Sila ang mukha ng ordinaryong Pilipino," this is the heartbreaking caption of Clark.

Due to the lack of face masks, the father was only able to get one for the two of them. Instead of wearing it himself, he decided to give it to his young daughter so she can be protected from COVID-19.

As of writing this, the said photo has already received thousands of reactions from thoughtful netizens. Many people are also trying to reach out to the father and daughter in this photo in order to help them.
