Daniel Padilla, May Mensahe sa mga Kaibigan na Natutuwa sa Pagsasara ng ABS-CBN

Daniel Padilla recently took to social media to break his silence about the forceful closure of ABS-CBN. For the first time in 25 years, the Kapamilya network has gone off-air following an immediate cease-and-desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission. Many livelihoods were affected, especially since ABS-CBN employs more than 11,000 workers.

Kapamilya's "Teen King" couldn't help but feel upset over the reaction of some of his 'friends' and relatives. During the shutdown of ABS-CBN, instead of offering support or prayers, some of them even rejoiced at the network's demise. This led Daniel to pen an emotional message for his friends who showed their true colors.

According to the actor, he will never forget the people who gloated at the ABS-CBN shutdown. The actor turned to social media to express his frustrations and dismay over these people, whom he once considered as true friends and loving relatives.

"Sa mga kaibigan, kamag-anak at kakilala ko dito na ginagawang katatawanan ang nangyayari ngayon dito sa ABS-CBN, 'wag kayong mag-alala dahil HINDI AKO NAKAKALIMOT," wrote Daniel on his personal account.

This was seconded by his mother, Karla Estrada, who also expressed her frustrations over those people. It seems like they were talking about the same relative when Karla replied: "Oo, ako rin anak. Bilog ang mundo at lahat ay lumilipas, nakikita ni Lord lahat yan."

On the other hand, many fans also offered their support for Daniel Padilla and the rest of Kapamilya celebrities during this hard time. One netizen in particular claimed that Daniel felt rightfully hurt because some of his loved ones are poking fun at the loss of his livelihood.

"Ibig sabihin, hindi na makakahingi sa kanya. Tama lang sinabi ni Daniel. Trabaho niya 'yung naapektuhan, eh. His friends laughing at the shutdown of ABS-CBN also means they're laughing that Daniel lost his job."
