"We should love our parents"- Senator Pacquiao, Naging Prangka kay Matteo Guidicelli

Matteo Guidicelli heeds Senator Manny Pacquiao's advice about his relationship with Sarah's parents. Pacquiao and Matteo had a heart-to-heart talk during the Facebook live of Matteo's fundraising event "One Voice Pilipines." During their encounter, the People's Champ also left sound advice to the Kapamilya actor when it comes to dealing with his mother-in-law, Mommy Divine.

As you may well know, Matteo is currently not in good terms with Sarah's family, particularly with his mother-in-law, Mommy Divine Geronimo. Their rift became even more serious when Mommy Divine intervened and tried to stop Sarah and Matteo's wedding way back in February.

But it seems like Matteo is not alone with his situation. According to Senator Manny, he has also been in the same situation in the past.

When he married his wife, Jinkee, Pacquiao's family did not attend the ceremony because they did not approve of his bride. It took years before Mommy Dionisia finally took a liking to her daughter-in-law.

According to Manny, Jinkee worked really hard to gain the approval of Mommy Dionisia. In the end, it's all worth it because Mommy D eventually saw how happy Manny was with his wife.

"Huwag lang natin awayin yung magulang natin. Kasi sa ayaw at sa gusto natin, iisa lang ang magulang natin. Kapag sila nawala, mahirap yun. Hindi ko rin naman sinasabi na maka-Mama ako, na Mama's Boy ako. That's our responsiblity. We should love our parents."

Matteo also agreed with the senator's sentiments. In a previous Instagram post, the actor also hinted that he is ready to make amends with Mommy Divine, as long as she is also open for reconciliation. As of now, only time will tell if Mommy Divine will be ready to finally accept Matteo as her son-in-law.
