Netizen, Nagbabala sa mga Sumasali sa 'Invisible Naked Challenge' sa TikTok!

In the Philippines, millions of Filipinos are also turning to the popular app TikTok to ease their boredom during the home quarantine. This music and video application offers many fun challenges and skits to choose from.

Indeed, the TikTok craze is slowly taking over the nation! Even popular personalities and the older population are trying out TikTok. No matter what your age or status in life, you will surely enjoy this app. However, did you know that TikTok also poses some risks to your security and privacy?

Recently, another TikTok challenge swept the social media by storm. The 'invisible naked challenge' uses a new filter that camouflages the user's body to match with the background.

Users who join this challenge strip their clothes, and only their silhouette is revealed. Even though it looks fun, this challenge might backfire.

A concerned citizen warned against the dangers of this new challenge. On Facebook, Anne Gabriel San Pedro discouraged people from participating in the 'invisible naked challenge,' since it can be risky.

According to San Pedro, while the filter doesn't reveal your body, the unfiltered video is saved on TikTok's server and database. Even though the videos are already deleted, the raw or unfiltered version is still stored in TikTok's database.

Thanks to the privacy policy, your TikTok information cannot be accessed by other users, but according to San Pedro, there's still a possibility that the video might be seen by others. She also warned parents to be more mindful and strict about their kids' activities online.

"Sa mga magulang, maging mapanuri kayo and bantayan nyo mga anak nyong walang muwang and wala pala silang idea na nae-exploit na sila, yan ang totoong invisible challenge ng tiktok, ang hindi nyo nakikita yung mga posibleng gawin ng tiktok app sa mga content or video nyo."
