Mister na Nagtulak ng Wheelchair ni Misis Papuntang Ospital, Pinapahanap ni Kuya Wil!
While the enhanced community quarantine helps contain COVID-19, it also brings a lot of problems to our fellow Pinoy. Due to the temporary suspension of public transportation, people who have no cars are having trouble getting where they needed. Among them is this elderly couple, who had to walk kilometers on foot in Quezon City.
Earlier this week, an elderly couple's struggles went viral on social media. Their heartbreaking story reflects just how badly the public is affected by the enhanced community quarantine. Even though they needed to go to the hospital, the lack of public transportation forced them to walk all the way.
In the video, the couple was spotted walking in a deserted road. The husband needed to take his wife to the hospital for her routine checkup, but due to the mass transportation suspension, they were not able to ride a bus or even jeep. Instead, they decided to talk all the way to the hospital.
Due to her frail condition, the wife is already seated in a wheelchair. The devoted husband is pushing the wheelchair, eager to make it to the hospital in time. In spite of the risks, they still took a chance because his wife needed immediate medical attention.
Their story melted the hearts of the netizens on social media. Even Kapuso host Willie Revillame couldn't help but turn emotional after seeing their situation. On his online program "Tutok to Win," Kuya Wil revealed that he is willing to reach out to the couple on the video.
"Ganyan po ang pinagdadaanan ng mga kababayan natin sa ngayon. Kung sino ka man, hahanapin ka namin para kahit papaano may ibibigay kami sa 'yo. Huwag kang mag-alala, nandito kami para tulungan ka," says the kindhearted host.
