Kara David, Labis ang Tuwa Matapos Muling Nakapiling ang Asawang OFW

Overseas Filipino workers are called modern-day heroes for a reason. They leave their hometown in search of better opportunities abroad. OFWs work tirelessly day and night just to provide a better life for their family back home. And now, amid the coronavirus pandemic that has invaded the globe, OFWs' lives are even more at risk.

In spite of all the struggles, they still strive hard to work for the sake of their families. Did you know that the husband of Kapuso reporter Kara David is also a proud overseas Filipino worker? He's one of our modern-day heroes who are working abroad amidst the pandemic.

Earlier this week, Kara David shared on social media that her husband is finally coming home from abroad after a long time. Kara's husband works in a cruise ship, and this is the first time that they will be reunited with one another in seven months. You can just imagine how Kara misses her husband.

"Husband just came back from a 7-month contract with a cruise ship. I always pick him up at the airport. But today, we will drive separate cars and go home to 2 separate houses. Social distancing. No hugs nor kisses. Just happy that he’s back. He will now be on 14day isolation/self-quarantine."

During the coronavirus outbreak, when OFWs fly back home, they needed to be isolated for 14 days before finally reuniting with their families. This lengthy procedure ensures that the OFW has not contacted COVID-19 from his country of origin.

As seen on the videos and photos shared by Kara, she couldn't hide her happiness and emotions after finally seeing her husband for a long time. And while they can't hold or hug one another for two weeks, Kara claimed that the wait is definitely worth it.
