Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial earned the ire of the netizens following her anti-government stance on social media. On April 3, the actress poured out her sentiments against President Rodrigo Duterte's speech, and claimed that poor people are suffering due to the quarantine. However, her sentiments backfired when netizens pointed out Barbie Imperial's alleged hypocrisy.

"Our country needs unity pero paano ang mga mahihirap? Mga wala nang makain at maibigay para sa pamilya nila dahil sa kung anong klaseng gobyernong meron tayo. Ang dami nang nagkakasakit, ang dami nang namamat*y. Hindi na pwedeng manahimik na lang," Barbie wrote on Twitter.

This gained mixed attention online, but one comment stood up against the rest. A netizen spoke out against Barbie and reminded her of what she did to her personal assistant, who complained about Barbie's unfair treatment.

Earlier in 2019, the young actress was dragged into a controversy after her personal assistant revealed Barbie's real attitude. Barbie's former assistant went all the way to TV5 studio in Mandaluyong to seek help from Raffy Tulfo.

During her interview, the assistant revealed that Barbie treated her unfairly. On the program, neither the assistant nor the host dropped Barbie's name. However, netizens out the puzzle pieces together after her assistant gave her an alias of 'Manika.'

Aside from being a rude employer, the young actress also allegedly failed to pay her assistant accordingly, with her wage amounting to only P7,000 per month. In the end, Barbie and her former assistant were able to come into an agreement, and the assistant decided not to file a cyber libel case against the actress.

But at the end of the day, this issue was stuck in the netizens' mind, and it will surely come back and catch up with Barbie too, especially if she doesn't change.
