Matteo Guidicelli, Iginiit na Wala Silang Plano Magpakasal sa Italy

Long before the secret Christian wedding of Matteo Guidicelli, 29, and Sarah Geronimo, 31, on February 20, the news of their grand wedding in Italy was on the rise. Showbiz insiders claimed that the celebrity couple will be tying the knot in Italy. According to reports, the ceremony is strictly open for close friends and relatives of Matteo and Sarah.

But the whole of Italy is now locked down due to the coronavirus disease (COViD-19) outbreak. As of now, the virus has become widespread in Europe, urging the government to implement a nationwide lockdown. As of writing, more than 9,000 people in Italy were infected, while more than 600 people have already perished.

So many people are now asking: amidst the coronavirus outbreak, will Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli's destination wedding in Italy still continue?

In an interview, Matteo finally settled the matter once and for all. The Kapamilya actor has now made it clear that it is not true that they have plans to get married in Italy.

At the awarding ceremony and formal reception of Matteo by the National Youth Commission as youth ambassador yesterday, March 10, ABS-CBN News asked the Kapamilya actor if their dream wedding in Italy will continue.

According to the actor and Philippine Army reservist, they had no plans to marry in Italy, even before the COViD-19 epidemic broke out.

The celebrity couple was wed in a Christian ceremony last February 20 on Victory Church, Taguig City. What should have been a solemn event ended in a brawl after Sarah's mother, Mommy Divine, gate-crashed and tried to stop the wedding.
