High-Tech Prosperity Dance ng Bagong Kasal, Ginawang Negosyo?
In the Philippines, we have many traditions and practices when it comes to the wedding ceremony. Among them is the traditional prosperity dance. During this special dance number between the bride and groom, the guests will line up and hang bills in the newlyweds' gown and tux. The money serves as a gift for the couple's new life.
For so long, this has been the practice of many couples during the wedding. However, as time passes by, the prosperity dance also changes. Now that we live in a modern world, newlyweds are finding more and more ways to be resourceful with their prosperity dance.
Earlier this week, a unique prosperity dance caught the attention of the netizens on Facebook. Al Martinez shared the wedding of an unknown couple, whose wedding dance was already up-to-date with modern technology! Instead of the traditional money bills, guests can now transfer cash via GCash or bank transfer.
The couple's Gcash account and BPI bank details were even posted on the stage, so the guests will have an easy time transferring the funds. Many people were amazed by this prosperity dance and even claimed that the couple must have been Millenials to think of this.
On the other hand, not all people found this 'practical' and 'high-tech.' For some netizens, this was done in bad taste. Apparently, the Gcash and BPI details in the stage just add pressure to the guests to give money to the couple.
As of writing this, the said photo has already reached more than 15,000 shares on Facebook alone. At the end of the day, no matter what other people think, what matters is the newlyweds. After all, this is their big day, so maybe they can get away with tactics like these!
