Fish Vendor sa Sorsogon, Namigay ng Libreng Isda sa Mga Kapitbahay na Nangangailangan

On March 15, President Rodrigo Duterte has implemented an enhanced community quarantine in the entirety of Luzon and in some parts of the Philippines. This preventive measure aims to contain the spread of coronavirus cases in the country. Yet in spite of the enhanced community quarantine, the cases continue to soar, with more than 700 positive cases as of March 26.

The community quarantine has also affected the work of daily wage laborers. Most of them struggle to make a living and feed their family during this crisis. Because of this, more and more kindhearted people are offering support and help to the people in need. Among them is this good Samaritan from Sorsogon.

Earlier this week, a man named Noe 'Wiwit' Endaya earned the admiration of the netizens on social media. Noe makes a living as a mobile fish vendor in Gubat, Sorsogon. Yet despite having no customers since the quarantine, Noe still went out of his way to help his fellows.

Noe continued to roam the streets with his tricycle, but this time, he's not there to sell. Instead, Noe decided to help struggling families by giving them free fish! On Facebook, a grateful neighbor captured photos of Noe handing out free fish to other people.

According to Noe, he doesn't want to brag to others, rather he just wants to spark inspiration for other people to step up as well.

"Hindi ko po ipinagyayabang kung bakit pinost ko pa ang pagtulong ko, ang mahalaga po sa akin na malaman nyo rin na nakatulong ako sanyo kahit sa maliit na bagay lang po sa abot ng aking makakaya."

Because of his thoughtful and generous deed, many people expressed their admiration for this fish vendor. Indeed, he just proves that you don't have to be rich or powerful to help others in times of need.
