Lumaking Mahirap, Yumaman at Na-Scam, Pero Nakabangon Ulit!

Life is unpredictable. One day you might find yourself at the top, and then the next day you can be at the bottom. For this man in Binangonan, Rizal, he has experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows in his life. Luckily for him, he's able to adapt and bounce back from his downfall.

Sherwin Gonzales' story is truly like no other. Born to a life of poverty, Sherwin eventually got out of poverty with his skills and hard work. However, these things did not last as he found himself at the bottom of the barrel again, but his resiliency gave him a second chance. But before all that, let's learn the story of his humble beginnings.

According to Sherwin, he was born to a poor family and their dire situation forced him to work at a young age: "Yung childhood ko naging training ground ko para kumita ng pera. At an early age pa lang, 'yung mga bote bote na 'yan, iniipon ko 'yan tapos binebenta ko sa junkshop." Even when he was young, he already knows the value of work, so it came to no surprise when he finally achieved greener pastures.

He started a lucrative business of automobiles buy-and-sell. For a while, things were looking good for Sherwin. Hoping to expand his business, he decided to invest Php 2 million to a trusted contact, not knowing that it was a scam. The next day, Sherwin's world fell apart when he found out that his hard-earned money was scammed.

Aside from losing all of his money, he was also persecuted by the people who invested in the scam. This forced Sherwin to go into hiding and depend on his siblings for support. Yet in his own words, Sherwin claimed that his dreams will never be extinguished: "Nasunugan man ako ng pera, pero hindi ako nasunugan ng pangarap."

Sherwin tried his luck the second time around. With the help of his loved ones, he decided to build another business as a real estate agent. This time, he made sure that he has plenty of cards. Aside from being a real estate agent, Sherwin also learned forex trading for passive income.

In the end, through his hard work and resiliency, Sherwin managed to rise from the ashes. He fell down once, but he got back up again. His story proved that no matter what life throws at you, you must remain headstrong and hopeful.
