Being away from your family member is an excruciating ordeal. This is especially true for siblings, whose bond is stronger and more special. For this twin both named Nelia, it would take them six decades to be reunited with one another. Their story of despair and hope was featured in "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" last January 2020.

The twins were born identical. In order to distinguish them apart, the midwife who attended their birth used a lit match to scar their faces. This sacrifice soon proved to be useless, as the Nelia twins will spend most of their lives away from one another due to unfortunate circumstances.

When they were young, they were forced to fend off for themselves. Their father was a drunkard, while their mother was too sick to take care of them. At a tender age, the three siblings lost their mother, which resulted in their family falling apart. The younger Nelia was taken off to Capiz by her uncle, while her two sisters were left to the neighbors.

That was the last time the two siblings saw each other. For a very long time, they did not have any contact with one another. As the years pass by with no news, no contact, and not even a letter, the older Nelia wondered what happened to her sister. But unfortunately, she could no longer find her twin.

Six decades would pass by before the two siblings would reunite. Older Delia thought she might never cross paths with her long-lost sister again, fearing that she has already passed away. The documentary show exhausted their efforts to reunite these long-lost siblings, and they succeeded in tracking them.

Through the help of social media, these sisters were reunited once more. The entire community witnessed their heartbreaking reunion. The years behind them dissolved with one hug; both were in disbelief of seeing one another again in flesh.
