It has been a few days since Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli were wed. On Friday, January 21, the celebrity couple tied the knot in  a secret wedding in Shangri-La. But everything went south when Mommy Divine gatecrashed and tried to stop her daughter from marrying her boyfriend of six years.

During the heated exchange, Matteo even got into a brawl with one of Sarah's bodyguards, Jerry Tamara. Matteo accused Tamara of spilling the location and details of their wedding. According to Tamara, during their heated argument, Matteo allegedly punched him in the throat.

In an official statement, Matteo denied this allegation and claimed he did not punch Tamara or anyone else. This prompted Tamara to seek out help from Raffy Tulfo. During the interview, Raffy even talked with Vic del Rosario, the founder of Viva, Sarah's management.

According to Vic, he was one of the few people who were present during the ordeal. He arrived right after the brawl and tried to mediate between Sarah, who was inconsolable during that time, and Mommy Divine, who was angry. They talked things through, but Mommy Divine refused to see reason.

Vic del Rosario also gave out sound advice to Mommy Divine. During his interview with Raffy Tulfo, the Viva founder claimed that she asked Mommy Divine to let go of the issue since Sarah is already in the right age. However, it seems like Mommy Divine was determined to ignore them.

Moreover, del Rosario just asked for respect from the netizens. After all, Sarah and Matteo surely have too much at their plate right now. The least we can do is respect their decision and wishes, and wish them the best for their new life as a married couple.
